LA Noire’s Rockstar Pass arrives

After refusing to offer any details following its reveal by Microsoft earlier in the month, the LA Noire Rockstar Pass has suddenly appeared on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

It had been scheduled for release on May 18th.

However, far from resembling EA’s Online Pass or anything or the sort, the download is fact just a collection of the DLC previously available as pre-order incentives for the game with assorted retailers.

Purchasing the Pass grants users the right to download all DLC content as it becomes available.

The 800 Microsoft Point download includes the following additional cases: The Naked City (Vice), A Slip Of The Tongue (Traffic), Nicholson Electroplating (Arson) and Reefer Madness (Vice).

It also includes the The Broderick Detective Suit, The Sharpshooter Detective Suit, The Badge Pursuit Challenge and The Button Man Suit.

Those who don’t buy the Pass will be free to buy downloads individually, though the Pass will represent a 50 per cent saving on buying the DLC one part at a time.

The Rockstar Pass can be purchased on Xbox Live right now. Presumably it will also be available on PSN once the PlayStation Store returns later this week.

"With its blend of real crime influences and noir atmosphere, LA Noire contains boundless potential for new stories and new cases," Rockstar founder Sam Houser stated.

"The four new cases are strong standalone stories that sit perfectly alongside the main game."
