Lara Croft headed to iPhone, iPad

An app version of Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light will be released tomorrow.

The game is a port of the Xbox Live, PSN and PC title released during the summer and will be compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.

As with the console version, Guardian of Light is an isometric action game that sees Ms Croft exploring South American ruins with the help of Mayan warrior Totec.

The two must work together to solve puzzles, avoid booby traps and fight off hordes of monster in their search for an ancient artefact. In fact, the brief description on iTunes suggests the co-op multiplayer from the previous release will remain intact.

Square Enix recently announced the next true Tomb Raider title will be a reboot of the long-running adventure franchise.
