LEGO ‘excited’ by Minecraft project

With fans of both Lego and Minecraft both eagerly awaiting news ona possible collaboration between the two, Lego has commented on theCuusoo projectin a statement today.

"It is still too early to say whether Minecraft play sets will become a Lego product," said Paal Smith-Meyer, head of the Lego new business group. "It needs 10,000 votes and to go through an approval process to ensure it meets our usual Lego standards."

He added: "We’re really excited to see the fantastic enthusiasm of the Minecraft community. This is what Lego Cuusoo is all about, connecting people’s passion to the Lego brick."
