Max Payne 3 drops to Rs 999 on Xbox 360, PS3

The console versions of Max Payne 3 have received an official price drop in India from Rs 2,499 straight to Rs 999, bringing them in line with the PC version.

The game has been out less than a year, and has now been priced in line with distributor E-xpress Interactive’s line of PS3 Essentials.

Max Payne as a franchise has a huge fan following in India. The franchise made a comeback after six years and, as we had expected, it was very well received by the Indian audience. The game is one of the highest selling titles in India for 2012, and after this price drop, we expect sales to pick up again,” said E-xpress CEO Anand Khemani.

The distributor also recently announced that last year’s surprise hit Sleeping Dogs would be released as an Xbox 360 Classics and PS3 Essentials title, with a price of Rs 1,299.
