Last year on 3DS, Nintendo breathed new life into its hit Pokmon IP with X and Y.
With new visuals, new monsters and a compelling story, the game managed to attract young fans whilst also delighting older ones with a series of nostalgic elements, including returning monsters from the very first Pokmon.
X and Y are the 3DS’ best-selling games to date, with over 12m units sold as of April this year. They were also the first titles in the series to arrive worldwide simultaneously.
A little over 12 months later, and the little critters are back. Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are remakes of the classic GBA games (Ruby and Sapphire) from 2003.
But this release is far more than just an update, including new modes, the mega-evolutions introduced in last year’s X and Y and, of course, an entirely new visual style.
