Metal Gear Solid V is coming to PC

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are headed to Steam.

Series creator Hideo Kojima revealed this at a Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Gamescom preview event in Cologne hosted by Spike TV’s Geoff Keighley.

This is fairly big news for PC Metal Gear fans. There hasn’t been a PC Metal Gear Solid game since 2003’s Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, and the only game from the series to appear on Steam was last year’s Metal Gear Rising: Revengance.

No release date was provided for either games, though Kojima said that Ground Zeroes will be coming out first.

Ground Zeroes is the first part of Metal Gear Solid V, and launched earlier this year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The Phantom Pain, the concluding part of Metal Gear Solid V, is coming to those platforms, though a release date is yet to be set.
