Microsoft delays Kinect Star Wars

Reports have emerged that Kinect Star Wars and the limited edition Xbox 360 Star Wars bundle have been delayed, possibly until next year.

Microsoft confirmed to OXM that both products have now slipped from their original "Holiday 2011" release date. No new window has been given, but it’s likely to be sometime in 2012.

A Microsoft spokesperson said: "Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realized.

"This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date."

The limited edition bundle features an R2-D2 themed Xbox 360 and a C-3PO styled controller, as well as a copy of the game and an exclusive white Kinect.
