Microsoft Surface Windows 8 Pro launches next month

Microsoft has dated its next run at the tablet market.

The firm announced its Surface Windows 8 Pro tablet will hit shelves next month, on February 9th. The device will be sold at Best Buy, Staples, and Microsoft Stores in both US and Canada at launch.

The Pro model features a 10.6-inch, 1920×1080 resolution multi-touch screen, and carries Intel’s Core i5, 4GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of storage. The lowest-priced model runs $899, not including the cost of a Touch Cover or Type Cover.

No release info for territories outside North America was provided, though Microsoft did announce the Surface Windows RT will land in new markets including: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
