Minecraft PC hits 15m sales

Minecraft’s PC version has sold 15m copies, creator Markus ‘Notch’ Persson has announced.

The figure was confirmed by Notch on Twitter – adding to the 21m Pocket Edition sales, and another 12m Xbox 360 sales totaled earlier this month.

The game is also out on PS3, already selling 1m copies as of January. A PS3 retail edition is set to arrive next month in both North America and Europe, while PSN versions for PS4 and Vita are also in the works for release later this year.

The game’s premium private server service Minecraft Realms launched in North America earlier this month as well, adding to the plethora of regions the program is now available in.
