Minecraft XBLA builds up 4m sales, averages 27,000 a day

Minecraft’s Xbox 360 developer 4J has revealed more staggering numbers for the indie hit’s console effort.

Speaking on Twitter, a studio rep announced the port has surpassed 4m units sold in its first five months.

The total figure averages out to around 27,000 copies sold a day.

Last we heard, many months ago, the total sales figure for Mojang’s across all platforms was near 10m, but the number could easily be approaching double that given the pace all three versions (PC, mobile, and console) continue to move at.
