MMO title Neverwinter confirmed for Xbox One

City of Heroes and Star Trek Online developer Cryptic Studios’ free-to-play MMO outing Neverwinter is coming to Xbox One.

The game was mentioned yesterday as a launch title for Xbox One in China.

Eurogamer notes that the official press release for the game mentions ‘consoles’ in the plural several times, pointing to a possible PS4 release too, although for the time being Cryptic says that it has no official word on any other consoles outside of the Xbox One at this time”.

The game arrived on PC around a year ago and like all MMOs will require an Xbox Live Gold subscription to access.

"The game will have some different elements to suit the nature of console play, such as new UI to fit in line with controller usage and use the native friend’s list in Xbox Live," Cryptic said. "That said the core experience will be the same, with a different cadence for module updates."
