Mobile broadband is slowing, claims Ofcom

Research by Ofcom has found that while more people are using mobile broadband than ever before, available bandwidth has decreased and download times have increased.

Among the findings was the fact that average download speed is now 1.5Mb/s, while basic webpages take around 8.5 seconds to load, compared to download speeds of 6.2Mb/s and page load times of less than half a second in late 2010.
