Mortal Kombat films include DLC

Buyers of Mortal Kombat on Blu-ray will receive a DLC code for extra costumes in the PS3 version of the upcoming game.

Both ‘90s films Mortal Kombat and Mortal Kombat: Annihilation are being re-released on Blu-ray on April 19th to tie in with the release of Warner Bros’ new game.

Joystiq is reporting the DLC code is just for PS3 but the game will also be available on Xbox 360.

Retailer Blu-ray.com said on its website: With the purchase of either title, you can receive a voucher code for a free exclusive Jade character costume download for the PS3 version of the upcoming game Mortal Kombat.”

Both films also include a HD game trailer of the upcoming game.

Mortal Kombat originally hit arcades in 1992 before heading to various consoles. The fighting series has sold over 26m copies worldwide.
