Neo Geo has another crack at the handheld market

Reports from the East suggest that SNK Playmore is to have another crack at the handheld market with the release of a new Neo Geo portable.

Andriasang reports that the device has a 4.3 inch screen and 2GB of internal storage, as well as an SD card slot.

It has a d-pad, sour face buttons and four shoulder buttons.

Furthermore, it will have 20 SNK games pre-installed including Fatal Fury, King of Fighters ’94, Metal Slug and Samurai Shodown. All titles are said to be the North American version.

However, with no official confirmation readers are best advised to remain sceptical for the time being. A widescreen device for emulating 4:3 ratio games? Hmmmmmm…
