Netflix has no ‘definitive plans’ for Nintendo Switch

It looks like Netflix won’t be coming to Switch anytime soon.

A Twitter user asked the burning question to Netflix’s customer service account, with @Netflixhelps answering: “There are currently no plans for Netflix on Nintendo Switch.”

The tweet was promptly deleted, but you can see a screenshot below (thanks Polygon):

On the back of this, Polygon contacted Netflix to ask for a clarification, with a representative essentially repeating the same thing but giving a bit more hope: “We are still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time,” the Netflix spokesperson said. The representative added than an update confirming this official statement will be sent from @Netflixhelps on Twitter.

Everyone has been waiting for Netflix to launch on Switch since day one, though Nintendo was clear from the beginning that it was not the priority, as the platform holder wanted to focus on games. We’re also still waiting to hear back from the Switch online service, which is supposed to launch early this year.
