New owners for popular Bath indie retailer

Long-running indie Wireworld Game Studio, Caf and Bar has found itself new owners.

After 14 years, owners Ron ‘Mac’ McKenzie and his wife Lyn had to sell the Bath store due to illness – and the couple were amazed by the response.

We had a phenomenal amount of interest,” said Mac McKenzie. We started out hosting Dune tournaments and now it’s a members club and we have hundreds. We’ve seen people grow up with us.”

The new owners take over on May 31st and are another married couple, something McKenzie felt was important.

He adds: The couple we’ve found have the right idea. They’re husband and wife and they understand that it’s a lifestyle business but it’s such rewarding work.”
