New UK boss for Tecmo Koei

Publisher Tecmo Koei has flown in an exec from its Japan HQ to run the UK office.

Yasutomo Watanabe is Tecmo Koei Europe’s general manager. He takes over from Will Curley, who left the company last year to join Reef Entertainment.

Watanabe has been with the firm for over ten years, having held marketing, HR and corporate business roles.

I’m excited to join this team,” Watanabe said. Tecmo and Koei studios enjoy a loyal fanbase and I aim to keep releasing their wonderful games in the European market.”

In addition, the company’s UK account manager Tom Vickery has been promoted to sales manager for Tecmo Koei Europe. He will head up sales for Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

I am delighted to take up my new position and work more closely with our retail and distribution partners across EMEA and Asia Pacific,” said Vickery.

Both roles have been created internally as part of a UK personnel reshuffle.
