Nexon partners with Valve for Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies

Nexon has announced a new deal with Valve to produce Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies, a free-to-play spinoff of the series featuring various undead enemies.

Eurogamer reports the game will offer a standard campaign against the zombie horde, as well as modes including Bomb Diffusion and Hostage Rescue.

Valve and Nexon had previously partnered for a special zombie mode release for Counter-Strike Online in Asia – a move that apparently has encouraged the two companies to delve further into the genre.

"Today we are announcing the latest creation from Nexon in the Counter-Strike world, one that builds upon years of success in developing CS Online for Asia," Valve’s Doug Lombardi said. "This title showcases that work in new, zombie, and classic form."

Counter Strike Nexon: Zombies is currently scheduled for an international release on Steam at some point during Q3 2014.
