Next Skyrim DLC allows you to design and build your own home

The second DLC release for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will allow players to construct their very own in-game home.

Called Hearthfire, the download allows for gamers to purchase plot and plans and then construct a fully customisable dwelling that can be decorated and extended as its owners see fit.

Once constructed players will be able to move in their very own bard or steward, construct a farm of fishery, invite their spouse to live with them and – for the first time – adopt child.

That, of course, will bring with it the responsibility of protecting and raising the kids.

Trophies from successful hunts and quests can also be used for a spot of internal decorating.

Hearthfire allows you to purchase land and build your own home from the ground up,” the press blurb reads. from a simple one-room cottage to a sprawling compound complete with armory, alchemy laboratory, and more. Choose your land, customize your house, guard it from unwanted visitors, and turn your house into a home by adopting children.

Hearthfire will be released on Xbox Live on September 4th and will cost a really quite modest 400 Microsoft Points.
