No Forza Horizon 2 DLC or Rewards for Xbox 360 owners

The recently announced DLC for racing title Forza Horizon 2 will not be released on Xbox 360.

Both the DLC and the Forza Rewards program will only be offered in the Xbox One build.

We are currently planning to release DLC only for the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2,” Turn 10 said. "Also, Forza Rewards benefits are only available in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2.

This means that Xbox 360 players will not receive Forza Rewards credits or cars. In addition, progress in the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 does not count towards your Forza Rewards Tier Level score. Only progress in the Xbox One version of Forza Horizon 2 will count towards your overall Forza Score (and Tier Level) in Forza Rewards.”

While disappointing for 360 owners, the news is perhaps not the biggest surprise. The games have two different developers, with Playground handling the Xbox One port and Sumo handling Xbox 360 duties. While the same in name the two titles are structurally completely different.

The DLC in question is called the Mobil 1 Car Pack and includes six vehicles – the

2015 Jaguar F-Type R Coupe, the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT, the 2013 Renault Clio RS 200, the1988 Volkswagen Scirocco 16v, the 1957 Maserati 300 S and 1988 BMW M5.
