Nordic Games to acquire JoWood brand

Publisher Nordic Games has announced plans to acquire rival publisher JoWood and it’s the Adventure Company brand.

Both names will now become publishing labels under the Nordic umbrella.

Nordic’s immediate plan is to start capitalising on its new back catalogue which includes the likes of Painkiller, Panzer Elite, Legend of Kay, SpellForce, The Guild and ArcaniA.

This new venture will be a fresh start, and we will be introducing new systems, procedures and business ethics to ensure the company goes from strength to strength,” Nordic Games CEO Lars Wingefors stated.
This is the beginning of a new era and over the coming months product development will start on a variety of well loved and respected brands and products.”

JoWood filed for bankruptcy in April of this year. In June it was acquired by Swedish firm Wingefors Invest.
