November arrival for NFS Nitro

The second prong in EA’s three-tiered reinvention of its massively popular Need for Speed series has been given a firm release date in the UK and US.

Need for Speed: Nitro, the Wii and DS versions of the racing series, will be released in the UK on November 20th. The pair will hit US retail a few days earlier on November 17th.

The publisher has already dated the Xbox 360 and PS3 SKU Need for Speed: Shift for arrival in the UK on September 18th. The third SKU, PC title Need for Speed: World Online, has yet to receive a release date.

Need for Speed: Nitro offers fun and intense competition for every type of gamer,” EA Montreal’s senior producer Joe Booth stated.

The varied track designs, deep controls, and intuitive drift and nitro mechanics give players something to come back to for months on end. We wanted to fuse together attitude with car culture and the best of arcade racing, to create a new and unique racing experience for the Wii and DS this November.”
