OnLive embraces indie gaming

Streaming games service OnLive has joined forces with the 14th Annual Independent Games Festival to promote some of the games expected to star at the event.

Beginning today and running until March 11st, US and UK OnLive users can play a selection of 16 games that are either IGF nominees or indie titles of note.

The titles due for inclusion are Atom Zombie Smasher, Be Good, Botanicula, Dear Esther, Dustforce, English Country Tune, Frozen Synapse, FTL, Lume, Nitronic Rush, Once Upon a Spacetime, POP, SpaceChem, To the Moon, Toren, and WAY.

Players are then able to vote for the games at OnLive’s Facebook page. The winner will then be announced on March 12th.

And from march 5th OnLive will also be putting a number of previously honoured IGF titles on sale for 75 per cent off on its streaming service.

We love bringing innovative new game experiences to our users, and helping independent developers get their games out to a broad audience,” OnLive founder and CEO Steve Perlman.

The OnLive Indie Showcase lets gamers everywhere share their enthusiasm for these leading-edge games.”
