Original Tomb Raider now available on iOS

Seminal 1996 action title Tomb Raider is now available on iOS.

The 69p game is compatible with any iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch running iOS 7. It uses (a considerably high number, it must be said) of virtual buttons to recreate the DualShock-friendly original.

Lara’s previous forays onto alternative hardware have typically been tailored for the host platform, so this raw emulation is a departure from Square Enix’s traditional approach to the franchise outside of the console domain.

Ms Croft’s most recent console outing Tomb Raider will next year be re-released on PS4 and Xbox One, while a new chapter in the Tomb Raider series is also in development.
