Ouya game approval process kicks off later this month

Ouya’s approval process for submitted games will begin later this month.

CEO Julie Uhrman told Engadget that developers should expect a fairly simple submission review before being added to the console’s store.

"[Games will be checked for] intellectual property infringement, and malware, and excessive pornography," said Uhrman. "Ultimately it’s a quick review and you’re in the storefront in one capacity or another."

The system looks to be operational by the middle-to-end of this month,” with Ouya Kickstarter backers scheduled to receive the hardware in March.
