Paradox Interactive breaks ties with Ruffian Games

Developer Ruffian Games and publisher Paradox Interactive have parted ways, leaving the fate of co-op title Hollowpoint foggy.

The Crackdown 2 studio announced its collaboration with the Crusader Kings outlet back in 2014, when Hollowpoint was unveiled at Sony’s 2014 Gamescom conference. The game largely vanished until E3 2015, when a second trailer was released for the Shadow Complex-a-like. However, the companies parted ways shortly after.

We ceased working with Paradox on Hollowpoint in Summer 2015 and we wish them well for the future,” Ruffian said in a statement. (Thanks,Eurogamer.)

Paradox added (viaGamewatcher): After recent ongoing discussions between the two companies, it became apparent to both parties that the creative vision for the project was diverging and so the decision was ultimately taken to cease our co-operation in order to serve the long-term interests of the game."
