PayPal: Steam Summer Sale starts June 23rd

Payment service PayPal has confirmed when this year’s Steam Summer Sale kicks off.

The firm announced via Twitter (below) that the huge sales period will be launching on June 23rd.

PayPal also leaked a number of Steam Sales in 2014 and 2015.

Steam’s Sales periods are characterised by huge discounts on PC games on the storefront.

Last year, Valve ran into trouble with the UK’s Advertising Standards Authority with its Summer Sale. The body ruled that Steam mis-led customers by repricing Grand Theft Auto V ahead of the sale.

June 23rd is also a big day for the UK as we vote in the EU Referendum. You can find out how the Brexit could affect the UK games industry here.
