PC release planned for Xbox One Kinect

The new Kinect hardware bundled with Xbox One will also get a PC release.

While Microsoft had no official word on it during today’s reveal, multiple company representatives confirmed that it would likely arrive at some point after the Xbox One’s launch.

"We will bring this to PC," Kinect program manager Scott Evans told Shacknews. "We will have more information soon."

Microsoft’s corporate vice president of interactive entertainment business Ben Kilgore affirmed the news with Polygon, adding that it will release on Windows at some point down the line.”

The current Kinect was released on PC in early 2012, just over a year following its original launch on Xbox 360.
