Activision "misspoke" about possible COD Elite PC no-show

Publisher Activision has backtracked on a statement that appeared to suggest that Call of Duty Elite may never get a dedicated release on PC.

Though the PC version of the service has already been delayed, its official Twitter feed threw the community into panic last night with the following tweet:

"We are working towards a universal Elite experience but we cannot guarantee if or when a version will be available for the PC."

However, an Activision spokesperson soon moved the dismiss the remark, claiming that the Twitter feed misspoke” and that a PC version of Elite is still very much on the cards.

There’s no word yet on when it might arrive, however.

The mobile version of COD Elite has also been delayed until Activision can get the console service fully stable. It has struggled since launch due to higher than expected” consumer demand.
