EVE cash for cards deal sold out

So how long did CCP’s PLEX for graphics cards deal last? Less than two minutes.

The EVE Online developer teamed up with nVidia to offer players the chance to buy GeForce GTX 560 graphics cards with PLEX, the game’s in-game currency.

The 100 cards made available were completely sold out in just one minute and 48 seconds, according to the game’s official site.

The hardware was priced at 20 PLEX and went on sale yesterday. PLEX can be purchased with real money or with EVE’s main in-game currency ISK.

Ausgamers reports that CCP are considering more virtual currency for physical goods deals following the success of this trial.
