Far Cry 4 out H1 2015, set in Himalayas – report

Ubisoft will release a new entry in the Far Cry series in the first half of next year, a new report has claimed.

Eurogamer says it has confirmed that Far Cry 4 will be set in the Himalayas, as has been previously suggested by Superannuation. Both Far Cry and Far Cry 3 took place in tropical island locations while the second entry had an African setting.

Although the game will largely follow the template laid out by its predecessors, it will offer some new features, such as mountable elephants.

The site says elsewhere in its report that Ubisoft is targeting a release in its current financial year, which ends in March 2015, with a reveal for PS4, Xbox One and PC pencilled in for E3.

Also due for a reveal at E3 will be the recently leaked Assassin’s Creed V: Unity, which is reportedly set in Paris.
