Finally, Minecraft is finished

Four million of you have already played it, but two years on from its initial launch PC hit Minecraft has finally been completed.

All copies of the game sold to date have either been the alpha or beta version.

However, creator Markus Persson has confirmed via Twitter that the game is now gold and ready for its big reveal at this week’s inaugural Minecon event in Las Vegas.

That’s not to say this is the end of the Minecraft story. Indeed, Xbox Live and iOS versions are currently in production, as are the first post-release additions to the game.
