Have your Minecraft world made into a real-life model

Minecraft fans now have the chance to have their most impressive digital creations recreated in the real-world.

Owned by former Microsoft exec Ed Fries, FigurePrints specialises in making models based on in-game creations. It already offers a World of Warcraft and Xbox Live avatar service (although the latter is being retired at the end of the month), but now Minecraft has been added to the mix.

To take advantage gamers must first download the FigurePrints’ World Exporter for Windows. It will then allow you to select a portion of your Minecraft world and upload it to the FigurePrints website.

The artists at the company will then transform it into a real-life model using a combination of real-world printing and plaster work.

Prices vary according to the complexity of the model.
