IGF finalists offered Steam distribution

The Independent Games Festival and Valve have announced an agreement that will provide all of this year’s finalists with a Steam distribution offer.

The festival’s official site reveals Main competition finalists will have an opportunity to accept a distribution agreement with the PC digital games giant.

The competition includes several jury-voted categories including technical excellence, excellence in design, art, narrative, audio, experimental efforts, and of course a category for the festival’s grand prize.

Finalists for IGF 2013 will be announced in January, with the award winners to be revealed at GDC 2013 this coming March.
