Millenium’s Callum "Swanny" Swan to miss CoD XP

The biggest CoD event of the year is here, but Millenium will be without their star player as Callum "Swanny" Swan has not travelled to LA.

The news came just hours before the competition is due to start, with the team confirming that Swanny will not be playing this weekend. Reasons for this have not been announced, however Millenium did announce that Marcus "MiRx" Carter will be taking his place on the team. MiRx is a former champion on Black Ops 2.

Before this news broke Millenium were considered the best European side in the competition, having won both stages of the Call of Duty World League this year. The entire team is made up of veterans of the scene, with Swanny arguably being the best European player ever. Now it would be a surprise to see the team make a top eight finish without Swanny on the team.

The $2 million Call of Duty XP tournament kicks off around 5:30 pm today. The group stages will play out today and tomorrow, with the bracket taking place over the weekend. The grand final, where one team will walk away with $800,000 will kick off around 10 pm on Sunday. You can watch all the action on Twitch.
