Minecraft lands on Xbox One, PS4 and Vita in August

Minecraft will arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PS Vita this August, Mojang has announced.

It’ll cost $20 on the new platforms, but those with who have already purchased the PS3/Xbox 360 version can upgrade to their next-gen counterpart for just $5. The upgrade program will be available for at least a year after the August launch.

Meanwhile, the Vita version is considered a Cross-Buy title and comes free if you already own it on PS3.

Mojang points out that while all PS3 DLC works with the Vita version, not all skins and texture packs will work on PS4 and Xbox One versions due to licensing deals.
