NFS World gets $100 downloadable car

EA is charging users of Need for Speed World $100 to download the free-to-play PC racer’s first ‘premium elite’ car.

The publisher has listed the Koenigsegg CCX Elite Edition motor at $100, although it’s currently on offer at $75 until December 21st, reports GameSpot.

Although Need for Speed World is technically a free-to-play MMO game, EA has always charged users for extras such as new cars and upgrades in the form of paid-for SpeedBoost points.

Need for Speed World has racked up over 5m users since it went live last year. The title was co-developed by EA Black Box and EA Singapore, and is part of EA’s Play4Free label.
