Portal 2 definitely on the way

Though Valve’s Doug Lombardi has

previously stated

that gamers could definitely expect more Portal action in the future, for the first time a direct sequel to the title has been name-dropped.

Speaking in an interview with G4TV, Portal’s lead designer Kimberly Swift stated: ‘I believe Doug Lombardi, who is our lead marketing director at Valve, has announced Portal 2.”

Nothing more is known of the game at the current time.

Portal won the Game of the Year award at the Game Developers Choice Awards last night at the San Francisco event. It also scooped the awards for Innovation and Best Game Design.
