Prepaid Steam cards to be available in India very soon

If you’ve been unable to participate in Steam sales due to your lack of access to a debit or credit card, a solution is near.

Cybergames India has tied up with Valve to release prepaid Steam cards, or Wallet Codes as they’re called, in India. These cards work just like Xbox Live or PSN subscription cards, and can be redeemed within Steam to add funds to your Steam wallet.

It’s unclear what denominations these cards will be available in, but Gamestop in the US offers them in $20 and $50 variants. We assume that the same denominations will be available in India at an equivalent Rupee price, but we’re yet to get confirmation on this.
