Report: Elder Scrolls MMO announcement in May

Bethesda is readying a massive reveal for the Elder Scrolls series according to a recent report.

Citing three unnamed industry sources, Tom’s Guideclaims the franchise’s next step will be into the massive multiplayer online genre with an official announcement set for May.

The game is said to take place in the Second Era (a full millennium before the events of Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim). The report adds there will be three factions, represented by a lion, a dragon, and a bird of prey.

An MMO set in the popular RPG universe has been hinted at off and on for years. Bethesda has thus far declined comment on this latest report, but it’s no secret they’ve been actively seeking and hiring employees experienced with MMO titles for some time now.
