Section 8: Prejudice revealed

A follow-up to last year’s PS3, Xbox 360 and PC shooter Section 8 has been unveiled by developer TimeGate Studios.

Section 8: Prejudice promises more combat missions, tweaked online multiplayer modes and a range of new weaponry.

The original allowed gamers to descend straight into battle from 15,000 feet and call in deployable gun turrets, tanks and other war machines to advance across the battlefield. It used a modified version of the popular Unreal Engine 3.

So far details on the sequel are scarce but TimeGate Studios has released a Section 8: Prejudice trailer over at gametrailers.com.

The original was published by SouthPeak Interactive in the UK in September 2009. It has not yet been announced whether SouthPeak will be releasing the sequel, nor which platforms it will arrive on.

Section 8: Prejudice will be released in Q1 2011.
