See what’s new in the Intel Internet of Things Developer Kit

Remember the gold rush when mobile apps first launched? The Internet of Things could be the next big opportunity for developers who can come up with fresh new ideas and use their skills to launch new products quickly.

Now Java developers can get in on the act too, with the launch of the Intel® IoT Developer Kit v2.0, which introduces full Java support.

The updated kit also includes an improved Intel® XDK IoT Edition, which makes it easier to create cross-platform IoT apps thanks to the improved uploading and synchronisation workflow. For more details on what’s new in the developer kit, see the full release notes here.

The Intel IoT Developer Kit supports a range of IDEs, including Arduino, Eclipse, Python, Wind River Intelligent Device Platform XT, and Wyliodrin. See the Eclipse release notes for the new developer kit, if that’s your preferred environment.
