Train Simulator 2014 goes head-to-head with FIFA 14

The next game in the surprisingly popular Train Simulator series will hit shelves on September 26th.

The game, published by Railsimulator.com, is one of just a few games daring to come out during the same week as FIFA 14.

Train Simulator 2014 is due on PC. The cult series makes much of its money from track and train packs it releases as DLC throughout the year.

I am very excited about the advances we have made with TS2012," said Railsimulator CEO Paul Jackson.

"We’ve developed a more personal and challenging career mode, richer creativity tools, and of course an ever more realistic driving environment. These are things which we know will appeal to our existing customer base, but will also deliver an exciting and engaging gaming experience to a much broader audience. I feel confident that TS2014 will be our most rewarding product to date.”

We’ve a full interview with the firm’s CEO Paul Jackson, which we shall publish later today.
