TV company on the hunt for MMO players who met their true love online

A TV production firm is putting together a documentary about video games, and it’s not a negative one.

In fact, Back2Back productions is producing a show that looks at people who fell in love, got married and started families via the likes of World of Warcraft and Second Life.

The show is already being filmed, it will air on a ‘major TV channel’, with the firm interviewing couples who met in online universes. They are still on the hunt for players who have met online but have yet to meet for the first time. Is that you?

Back2back’s MD David Notman-Watt told MCV that the one-hour film aims to challenge some of the preconceptions held about online gaming: Virtual gaming has changed dramatically in recent years,” he said,

It’s fascinating to meet people whose relationships have blossomed as the line between role-play and real life has become increasingly blurred.”
