Finished games now separated from idea pitches

Valve adds Greenlight concept section

Steam Greenlight recieved an update today that separates concepts from finished games.

Greenlight has proved a controversial addition to Valve’s digital distribution platform, but this update is clearly making an effort to redress greivances.

While finished projects will abide by the same rules as before, votes given to concept projects are for developer research purposes only.

Concepts are also exempt from the $100 submission fee that proved so upsetting to small indiependent developers, who frequently take on substantial debt to fund their creations.
