Selection of in-development games including ArmA 3 to be opened up to users

Valve opens Steam Early Access scheme

Steam users can now gain early access to a number of in-development games on the digital distribution platform through a new scheme.

Called Steam Early Access, Valve said the scheme wouldb provide consumers with the chance to look behind the scenes of a game and witness the development process firsthand.

Users who play games early will also be able to provide developers with feedback to aid with the title’s creation.

The initiative will likely be used increasingly among Steam Greenlight, which already acts as a way for the community to vote for their favoured games to be published on the digital store.

The first wave of Steam Early Access titles include:

1… 2… 3… KICK IT! (Drop That Beat Like an Ugly Baby)

ArmA 3

Drunken Robot Pornography

Gear Up

Gnomoria

Kenshi

Kerbal Space Program

Kinetic Void

Patterns

Prison Architect

StarForge

Under the Ocean
