Wasteland 2 reaches $1.5m in sales in four days

Wasteland 2 has generated $1.5m in sales just four days out from release, developer inXile Entertainment has announced.

"We are ecstatic that the style of game we love so much has been embraced so well," company founder Brain Fargo said.

The studio originally ran a successful Kickstarter campaign that raised $3m for the game’s development – dwarfing the $900,000 funding goal inXile had set.

The game also had an Early Access run, which doesn’t factor into either of the aforementioned figures.

Wasteland 2 is out now on Steam for Windows PC.
