Pokemon developers Game Freak making Tembo the Badass Elephant for Sega

The makers of Pokemon have teamed up with Sega to release a new action platformer called Tembo the Badass Elephant.

The game is due out this summer on PS4, Xbox One and PC. That means it’s the first time since 1999 PlayStation title Click Medic that the company has made a game that hasn’t appeared on a Nintendo platform.

Tembo will feature 17 side-scrolling 2D levels and a striking comic visual style, as can be seen in the video below.

We’re delighted to be working with Game Freak to bring this heavyweight adventure to an audience we feel it will have relephants to,” Sega Europe’s senior VP of commercial publishing John Clark said. It’s a trunkful of fun and we think gamers are going to love it. Hopefully more than my rubbish elephant puns.”
