Pokemon Go finally arrives on Apple Watch

Having been touted back in September, the Apple Watch version of Pokemon Go has finally been released.

This new title does not offer the full feature set of the main game – most notable in its absence is the act of actually catching Pokemon. But it does connect with the smartphone game and allow you to perform certain acts without getting your handset out of your pocket.

Things you can do include collecting items from Pokestops and scoping out nearby monsters, complete with notifications for when one is nearby. Play sessions can also be logged as workouts, while an egg hatching countdown allows you to better track your progress.

How well the Apple Watch’s battery holds out in face of such intense action remains to be seen.
