PokePark: Pikachus Adventure dated

Having kept pretty quite about the game since it was first unveiled in October last year, Nintendo has announced that PokePark Wii: Pikachu’s Adventure will be released in the UK on July 9th.

Players take control of recognisable series’ mascot Pikachu in what is described as the first Pokemon adventure title on Nintendo’s motion sensing console.

However, the structure of the title is in many ways more akin to a mini-game collection

To date the only other Pokemon game on Wii is 2007’s Battle Revolution. Fans of the series have for years called for a ‘proper’ RPG instalment on consoles, and while PokePark is a step closer toward that dream, we’re still a long off realising that goal.
